Missions

Wellington Community Church supports several long and short-term missions which promote the work of Christ in the world. We love staying connected with them and routinely skype several into our worship service. Here is a list of our current missionaries that we support:

Name Intentionally Ommitted

We have a young couple that has been doing missions in the Middle East since 2017. WCC has been supporting them since 2016. Currently they are working on language skills, developing relationships and getting trained in the ministry roles that Lord has for them. We are excited for the future of this lovely couple and look forward to reports of their service to Christ and His people in their current country of residence.

Randy and Cindy Richner

Randy and Cindy Richner have been doing missions in Brazil since 1995. We have been supporting them as missionaries since 2015. Randy and Cindy serve in the least evangelized state of Rio Grande do Sul, near the city of Porto Alegre. Their primary assignment is to strengthen Igreja Ministério Bíblico Ivoti, their church plant in Ivoti Bazil. Their ministry includes many outreach efforts including leadership development through a Bible Institute and Biblical counseling training, sports outreaches, outreach Bible studies and teaching English as a Second Language. They have three children, Ariana, Joel and Jason.

Walter and Marilyn Agee

Walter and Marilyn have served with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 46 years, principally in Mexico. Currently they have been taken on what is called a Reduced Assignment, which means that they are working half-time, allowing them more time with family. They reside in Cedar Hill,Texas.

Brad and Angela Frye

Brad and Angela joined WFC in 1994 and in 1995 WCC became their sending church as they followed the Lord's call to Uganda with Christian Veterinary Missions where Brad used his skills as a veterinarian to help reintroduce oxen into northern Uganda. They served there for four years before returning to the States and CVM headquarters where Brad is responsible for the training and deploying of short-term and career missionaries all over the globe. And they are busy with 8 children.

Ben and Katie Johnson

Ben and Katie serve Jesus Christ with a soccer ball through the agency of Missionary Athletes International. Both have played professionally and semi-professionally for the MAI Charlotte Eagles, in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they currently make their home. Ben has retired from playing but he is still coaching, training locally and leads international tours using sports ministry to reach others for Christ and to disciple believers. They have 4 young children. Katie joined WCC with her parents in 1990 and was commissioned by WCC in 2002.

Larry and Carol Schatz

Larry and Carol are currently retired after being career servants with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Carol began her work with the Teribe people of Panama. That translation project is now completed and the New Testament has been distributed to the Teribe people. Presently Carol works with the president of Wycliffe USA maintaining communication with staff members around the world. Larry, though retired, continues to contribute to the Wycliffe ministry as a volunteer. Working from their home in Orlando, Florida, he prepares personalized displays for Wycliffe staff to help in their partnership development efforts. They have two adult children. David is married to Lauren and they have one child, a daughter. Andrew is married to Emily.
